I care more about how something feels than what something is. I believe the richness in life is often found in the simple things that we overlook, like a soft kiss on the forehead, the cool earth underneath bare feet, the electricity of a finger slowly dancing up our arm or the warmth of sunshine as it caresses our skin during an afternoon cuddle.
I value the moments and space between what keeps us busy, like just being in the presence of someone we love without filling the space with words.
The way I see love and human connection isn’t what we’re shown in fairy-tale movies. It isn’t posed or perfect or always smiling.
We are so much more than that.
Love can be wild, it can be messy, and it can also be tender and, maybe even mostly, quiet and unnoticed.
Love sometimes speaks loudest in the space between what is said or done.
Its the quiet, unnoticed moments that can be the most pregnant with feeling – and we often find honesty in their details. When we see the way he looked at us, when we see the way the wind blew through her hair, when we see the way his hands touched our cheek… in those quiet details we remember what those moments felt like.
I aim to create images that make you feel.
I am currently living in the mountains of northern San Diego, California on a beautiful piece of land with close friends, family and my happy and goofy pup, Louie. We spend most of our time nurturing community and taking care of the land, our chickens, goats, spending time outside and doing whatever else makes us happy!
I’ve travelled to almost 20 countries and have shot weddings or elopements in 5, and am always open to more destination work and adventures or to help with ideas – domestic and international.
I look forward to chatting 🙂
